Melissa Conover

Melissa Conover, MA, LPC, LCADC Melissa Conover, LPC, LCADC has been at Families Matter since 2015. Melissa has a Master’s Degree in Counseling in Educational Settings as well as having training and certification as a professional counselor and licensed clinical alcohol drug counselor. She has provided mental health, addictions, and co-occurring counseling to individuals, families, couples, and parenting, as well as therapeutic visitation. Melissa is a certified school counselor and has worked in school settings and understands the unique challenges of academic settings and stress on youth. Melissa is also certified in Hypnosis, as a Life Coach, and in teaching Meditation and can help individuals, couples, and families address issues using a variety of approaches in addition to evidence-based approaches such as CBT and DBT. Melissa focuses on providing care that is non-judgmental and focused on meeting individual’s needs.

Joanna Little

Joanna Little, LPC, LCADC, ACS Joanna Little, LPC, LCADC Joanna has been in the field for over 20 years, starting out with music therapy and completed a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology to work as a therapist. Joanna has primarily worked in community mental health and addictions treatment providing all levels of care to individuals, couples, and families in need through in-home and in outpatient settings. Joanna has worked with college/university students as a professor and a campus counselor, has designed a trauma focused parenting class and workshops to manage workplace stress. Joanna specializes in symptom management for mood disorders, trauma, anxiety, co-occurring therapy, and has a certification as an ADD/ADHD professional. She has experience and training in working with individuals who identify as or are seeking support for LGBTQIA related needs. Joanna uses evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, Solution focused approaches, with the goal to help people gain the skills to uplift themselves and find their healing however that manifests for each person.

Frank Healy

Frank Healy, LPC, remembers every day of his life since he was five years old. He remembers the day of the week, the weather in his area, news events, and personal experiences. In 2011 Frank was a research subject at the University of California,and is one of about 90 people whom they have classified as having “Highly Superior Autobiographical Memory”. You can ask him about any date in the past 57 years and he will tell you the day of the week, the weather, and what he was doing. Frank works as a Licensed Professional Counselor helping people heal their emotions from past trauma, He sees people with depression, anxiety, anger issues, and youth. He has written books on healing your past, stress management, and emotional intelligence. Frank is married and lives in Dennisville New Jersey. He sees people with depression, anxiety, anger issues, and youth counseling.

Allison Farrell

Allison started at Families Matter in 2022. She has experience working with youth and families through her years at Cape Counseling in the Family Success Center and the Children’s Partial Care Program, where she worked as a therapist for youth with serious mental and behavioral health concerns. Allison has provided individual and family therapy in community and in outpatient settings for youth through adults. Allison uses a client centered approach along with CBT, SFT, DBT, and trauma informed care. Allison specializes in working with teens and adults to reach their potential and holistically heal. She incorporates elements of whole mind/body wellness into her counseling practices. Allison has experience working with youth and adults in seeking support for LGTBQIA needs.

Kevin Cook

Kevin Cook, LPC Kevin has been a therapist since 1997. He started his career in Pennsylvania and moved to New Jersey in 2008. Kevin has provided individual therapy for children in their homes and outpatient settings. Kevin provides parenting training, outpatient therapy for adults, groups for anxiety, depression, anger management and domestic violence. Kevin’s approach to counseling is client centered, solution focused, and strength based. Kevin is a certified in CCTP (Certified Clinical Trauma Professional), Telehealth
Certification, trained in Grief Counseling, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF- CBT), Technology Addiction, ARC GROW, Nurturing Parent and Mindfulness Therapy. He has helped children and adults with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, higher functioning Autism, PTSD, ADHD, anger management, trauma, parenting, grief and loss, and children with behavior problems. Kevin’s specialties are: Depression Anxiety Grief and Loss PTSD Adjusting to Change.

Marguerite

Marguerite “Peggy Brady” Brady, LAC, LCADC has been in the helping field for years. Peggy has worked indirect care at Crest Haven Nursing Home, as a medical assistant to Wildwood Medical Associates, she has been a Certified Prevention Specialist, and is currently a Licensed Associate Counselor in mental health and a Licensed Clinical Alcohol Drug Counselor. Peggy works with individuals who are struggling with mental health, co-occurring, and addictions issues. Peggy is certified as Strengthening Families Program and brings the wealth of her many experiences to the counseling process to provide strong care that is focused on a holistic mental, emotional, physical, and social wellness approach. Peggy utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, person centered counseling, and evidence-based parenting skills in her counseling approaches.

Jennifer Hickok

Jennifer Hickok, MA, LAC, Jennifer Hickok, MA, LAC has her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a concertation in Early Childhood Education from Rutgers University and her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Stockton University. Jennifer has a client centered approach and incorporates skills from cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy and Solution Focused therapy. Jennifer has experience working with a variety of mental health, substance use and co-occurring disorders including depression, anxiety, trauma and periods of transition. Jennifer hopes to promote positive change with the goal of helping you develop the coping skills needed to navigate challenges as they come.
